MLA Debbie Jabbour's Questions regarding Caribou
On March 19th I asked the Minister of Environment to update the Legislature as to what the Minister has learned from the consultations, how it has informed the process, and where things are now. I then asked the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry what our government is doing to ensure this industry continues to thrive in light of the concerns surrounding fiber access and the caribou. I concluded by asking the Minister of Energy to comment about what she has been hearing on these issues.
Later on in today's session I was pleased to table a letter from the three ministers to the federal government advising that the government has decided to suspend the process pending further socioeconomic study.
